And the TREE!
A couple days ago, Reilyn was laying on the ground, saying, "Mom, Mom, look...did I make a 'K'?" It was so cute how she had her body all straight, and her arm up to make the K. She is really starting to understand how letters all work together to make words, and has been sounding out words constantly and trying to find words that "sound the same." I can't believe how quick she's growing up!!
Tonight, we went to see the Bee Movie. It was a cute one, and definitely has that Seinfeld humor. But I don't think I've ever written about the experience of going to the movies here on the Army base. First of all, we knew about half the people in the theater because our base is so small now, and it just feels like a small town where you know everyone! But before the movie starts, the Star Spangled Banner plays with a slide show of pictures of the American Flag, soldiers, and American life. It is absolutely silent in the theater, and it is so neat to see all the soldiers, with their families, stand and pay so much respect to that flag that represents the freedom they fight and work for everyday. Many of these soldiers have been deployed hold a high reverence for the flag that is hard to describe. You can feel it in the room. Everyday as the large American (and German) flag is raised and lowered, music is played and everyone on base stops and stands with their bodies toward the flag. Even if you're driving, you stop your car and get out. It is a pretty amazing thing to see the respect that is given especially by those who work for what the flag represents. I just thought I would write about that, because before being on a Military post, I have never seen such respect. It's pretty cool.

That is so cool about the flag and the movies... Doesn't it make you even that much prouder to be an American.
Tis the season. Man do I need to get into it. I have had no desire to decorate yet. I loved the pictures of the reflections in the christmas bulbs. Have you had any snow yet? I need to post my snow pictures we have had lots this week. I love it. Give Rielyn and Kedric hugs and kisses for me.
you take the most beautiful pictures, what a talent, of course it helps when your kids are the cutest little buttons ever! Isn't it so wonderful to see the love between siblings, everyone always tells me wait till they get older, but the bond is so strong between them I don't see it changing. I believe the chhildren coming down are such choice spirits, they are wiser, stronger, and greater then ever. oh and I think it is so neat the experiences you are having in Europe, what an enrichhing experience!

Love the pics. And, the posts. I'm actually typing this through blurry eyes b/c of what you said about the flag. You are very talented and your kids are adorable! We think of you often. We'll have to talk soon.
